Lunch at El Meson de Pepe, a family owned and operated Cuban Restaurant in Key West. Chef Pepe Diaz and family first opened in 1985.
Service: outstanding (waiter was ON TOP OF IT!)
Lunch: deliscious!
Sharon: Pechuga de Pollo a la Plancha - Breast of chicken grilled with parsley, olive oil and garlic adobo
Rusl: Ropa Vieja - Traditional Cuban shredded beef stewed with fresh tomatoes, green peppers, onions and red wine. Literally translated as "old clothes"

... COCK-A-DOODLE-DOOO... there are chickens EVERYWHERE... seems that at sometime long ago there was a hurricane that wiped out
a lot of things on the key, and one of the things in particular, was chickens, and so a law was passed that chickens could not be killed...
and now they are in the streets, on the sidewalks, in the trees... |
