missed this... but... if you are heading east from Albuquerque on I40 check out historic route 66...
there is a stretch of Route 66 about 15 miles east of Albuquerque that has a unique musical
rumble strip embedded in the road... to hear the music you must be traveling at exactly 45 mph...
pretty cool!... next time...

It was really great seeing the my mom's side of the family - it had been YEARS - don't even want to think about how many,
and Aunt Jane sounds so much like mom when she talks (wonder why), and Janette drove up from the gulf coast because whe was not
going to be home when we returned to California via I10 (thank you very much), and Susan, bless her heart, was feeling guilty all
these years for getting busted by grandma for pilfering my comic books in the box in the front bedroom closet at grandma's - "Rusl
would be very upset if they were not in the same condition as when he left them" - she promised to be very careful and said she was very careful
with them, and, and, and, she brought me a stack of comic books from the same era (WOW! thank you very much).
