"alea iacta est"
(the die is cast)
So said Julius Caesar at the head of his army after the successful
Gallic Wars as he led his army across the River Rubicon into Northern
Italy on January 10, 49 BC thus violating a law of the Roman Empire
forbidding an army commander to lead soldiers within Italy, and thus
began a long civil war; the phrase is still used today to mean that
events have passed a point of no return and something inevitably
will happen.
The membership has spoken, a new director has been elected, and,
although I was not elected I sincerely hope that some of my platform
planks have made an impression on the leadership and will come to
pass.
In the meantime, I will continue to ride a lot, and, I expect to ride
with some of you, or, you with me, or whatever; however, as you can
see by the wanted poster below, I will also be in the background....
way way back...
Good luck to all you all,
KNUCKLEHEADS FOREVER!
