UNFORTUNATLY as Sammie, our dog sitter, was enroute to our motel on HWY 50
there was a wreck by Kyberz that closed both lanes. Her planned arrival
time was 2:30pm, we'd leave by 3pm for north shore to catch the shuttle to
Lisa's lake house; however, when Sammie called to tell us of the wreck she
also said that both alternate routes to south shore involved returning to
Sacramento and an estimated arrival time of 5pm - and with a one hour drive
to north shore for a wedding planned to start at 5:30pm ( and shuttle service
possibly done until 9pm when the event was concluding, it did not look like
we would make it... told her to wait while we worked on options...
conclusion... best option was for Sammie to just hold tight and wait for the
wreck to be cleared...

... all ready to go and waiting for Sammie...
about 3:45pm she was rolling and expected to arrive by 4:30pm. Sharon called
Mary, the wedding planner, and told her of our delima and likely hood of not
getting to north shore until about 5:30pm - Mary said just drive directly to
the house... so we did... parked right by the garage and walked right into
the back yard... WHEW!!!
