We welcomed in the new year with a ride with Dudley Perkins Harley-Davidson over to the coast - started out with fog in West Sac (couldn't go over 40mph on the freeway), but as we got to Vallejo it was sunny and almost too warm on the coast hightwy (78^o). Throughout spring and summer we were able to ride and camp with friends and fellow "biker trash." Of course, some of the trips were business covering events for Thunder Roads Magazine NorCal, such as press passes for the Redwood Run and the Sacramento Mile. We camped in Pescadero, north of Santa Cruz, and rode all the roads we rode together back in 1966/67 bringing back lots of fond memories and we were able to share those great roads with 16 friends on that trip. Love California riding!

Three long road trips this year, one to Indiana to prepare Sharon's home there for sale with a side trip to the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee, did not see everyone we wanted to on that trip but will try again soon. Second trip was to Grants Pass to visit Moe and Joe, Rusl's friends since the mid-60's. The third trip was to Houston to visit Rusl's parents and sister, Pam, and her husband, Tom, and their three tiny Yorkie puppies.

Sharon's real estate business is moving along, closing three homes and a commercial deal, and, the banks and Fed-Ex have kept her busy with her mobile notary business which helps a lot for pocket change. We are already planning day trips, three-day weekends and camping trips with hopes of more beach time for 2013.

Rusl continues contributing articles, photos and selling advertising for Thunder Roads Magazine NorCal and is webmaster for not-for-profit organizations and several small businesses.

"Dave's not here man," aka "Kato," continues as puppy sitter, pool boy and garage door opener.

Izzy continues to be the barkie guard dog doing her best to intimidate anyone she does not know, at home or at the beach.
